One catalog, fifty states, and now one more CZ striker gun in it. The DUTY 4.0 is the new-generation 9x19mm from CZ, sold as the C compact and the F full-size, each available plain or as an MS model with a manual thumb safety. Under the fiberglass-reinforced polymer grip frame is a serialized modular chassis, so the frame itself is a separate module.
Buyers come to us for a first gun bought online, and this one suits that job: fixed sights so there is nothing to zero, a direct-mount optics cut if you want a dot later, a 4-inch unthreaded barrel and a 1.3-inch width. The C holds 15+1, the F 17+1, and each gains two rounds with the extended base plate. The SFDA trigger breaks at about 5.6 pounds and resets in 4 mm. MSRP is $729 across all four.
Compact means 15+1 rounds in a frame 135 mm (5.3 in) high. Fit the extended base plate and it holds 17+1. At 770 g (27.2 oz) unloaded it sits between a pocket pistol and a full-frame gun, which is exactly where a carry-and-bedside 9mm belongs.
No external safety here. The firing pin block, trigger safety and drawbar safety handle drop safety, and the holster handles the rest. CZ sells the same gun with a thumb lever as the MS model.
CZ built the DUTY around a registered chassis that the polymer grip module wraps around, the same idea that lets a buyer change frame size without buying a new registered gun. The trigger is a refined SFDA striker unit, 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) pull, 4 mm (0.16 in) reset, 9 ± 1 mm (0.4 ± 0.04 in) travel. The slide takes optics by direct mounting; CZ's product photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield units in place. Sights are fixed, the 4-inch barrel is not threaded.
Best fit: concealed carry where your state allows it, home defense, and range time that does not need a full-frame grip. Shooters coming from a CZ 75 will recognize the grip angle; buyers coming from any other striker gun will notice the trigger first.
We ship to FFL dealers in every state that allows the item. Name your licensed dealer at checkout and the pistol goes to them; your dealer applies your state's permit, waiting-period and magazine rules at pickup, and supplies compliant magazines where your state requires them. Ammunition, optics and parts ship to your door where your state allows it. Price and availability are confirmed when you order, before you pay.
Questions buyers ask: What if my state has magazine rules? Your dealer applies your state's magazine rules at pickup and supplies compliant magazines where required; checkout and your dealer sort it out, not you. Is the grip frame the serialized part? No. On the DUTY 4.0 the serial number is on the internal chassis, and the polymer grip frame is a module around it. Does the CZ DUTY 4.0 C take CZ P-10 magazines? CZ lists the DUTY with its own 15-round magazine and an extended base plate for 17+1. P-10 magazine fit is not confirmed, so plan on DUTY magazines.
