A .22 LR rifle in this configuration is a range gun: a trainer for a centerfire rifle of the same layout, a plinker, and a rifle to teach safe handling with before stepping up in caliber. It would also take small game where a state permits rimfire rifles for that purpose. Collectors of HK-marked firearms will note the German manufacture and the very good condition, and the bright bore says it has not been neglected.
